Dawn of Darkness (Daeva, #1) - Daniel A. Kaine So, I don't get it. This book has a really good rating and some pretty effusive reviews and I don't really understand it. I mean, it's not a bad book, I guess. It has all the elements that would make a good book: action, adventure, romance, betrayal, surprising twists, etc. But, for all that, I feel so... neutral about it. It just felt a bit lackluster to me, the writing was very literal and blandly descriptive. I really wanted to like it, because I do so love a good post-apocalyptic story, but no, it just didn't do it for me.
